Reminders

Dustly can remind you when a task is due. Reminders work on your device, with no account and nothing sent to a server.

Turn on reminders

The first time you save a task with "Remind me when due" on, Dustly explains the reminder and then asks if it may send notifications. Tap "Allow".

If you didn't allow notifications, the task form says "Notifications are off." Tap "Open Settings" to turn them on in your device's Settings.

When reminders come

A reminder comes on the task's due day, at 9:00 AM unless you change it. To change the time for one task, edit it and set "Time" under "More options". To change it for new tasks, go to Settings › "Default reminder time".

Switch on "Remind daily until done" on a task to get a reminder every day after the due day too, until you mark it done.

If a task becomes due after its reminder time that day, the reminder comes the next day instead of right away.

Mark it done from the reminder

Touch and hold the notification (on the Mac, click "Options") to see its buttons. "Done" marks the task done without opening Dustly. The snooze buttons remind you again later: see Snooze.

Choose which devices remind you

Settings › "Reminders on this device" turns reminders on or off for the device you're holding. It is on for iPhone and off for iPad and Mac to begin with, so you aren't reminded three times.

When you mark a task done on one device, its reminder goes away on your other devices once they sync.
